To celebrate this Sant Jordi differently in Grup Arenal we share the recipe of Chessecake. Below we explain how this dish prepared by our Chef Danielli Simoes de Oliveira de Xup,Xup Restaurant is prepared.

Recipe of Chessecake

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams butter.
  • 200gr maria biscuit crushed.
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 300ml cream

 

  • 350 grams sugar
  • 1kg cream cheese (philadelphia) or other similar brand.
  • Vanilla essence drops (optional)
  • Lemon zest

Recipe for cheesecake:

Step One:

  • In a drop-down rounded baking tin, place a sheet of baking paper inside. Smear it with a little butter.
  • In a bowl, mix the butter with the crushed biscuit. We work with our hand until a paste forms.
  • We pour the biscuit and butter paste into the pan, forming a base. (Crushing by hand)
    We then put this in a fridge, for a few minutes.

Step Two:

In a blender or bowl, we put:

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 300ml cream
  • 350 grams sugar
  • 1kg cream cheese (philadelphia) or other similar brand.
  • Vanilla essence drops (optional)
  • Lemon zest

We mix all the ingredients

Step Three:

We finish by taking out the pan that was in the fridge and pour in the mixture of step two into the tin.

This we put in the oven, for 45 minutes at 150 degrees C.

Important: after baking, the cake should be rested for 6 hours in a refrigerator.

This recipe is for a 28cm size mould/baking tin.
